Seasons of the year......

Hmm, it sure feels somehow coming back here(especially after I told someone I wouldn't go online for a while).. well, it still feels nice having a medium of expressing one's thoughts, feelings and inspirations to those who care to read through... hehe. Well, the weeks passed and so did my holidays. Funny that I didn't really do anything special or have a swell time as I hoped.. but I sure enjoyed te endless CHESS games throughout the duration of my hols. It's surprising that I kinda picked up the enthusiasm for the game after being meticulously disected in some chess games I played with friends. So far, I've improved in my openings but still have loads of knowledge about developing pieces and end-game strategies. To help boost my knowledge base in chess, I took a co-curriculum on it this semester. It has somewhat paid off but I'm still developing mostly on my own. I fear that I might be too addicted to it as some of my mates are already assuming.... I'll greet them and immediately say" Wanna play one chess game?" It's become a daily routine for me to either paly chess games or revise some games. One day, I hope to reach the level of an International Grandmaster...but it sure is a long way to go anyway. Well, my studies are going quite well and things seem to be moving quite fast if I must point out here. I'm drawing closer to project deadlines, assignments and so on. I just remebered that I have a crucial project meeting tomorrow. Catch you all later then!!!

Beauty of the Sunsets

Ever been to the beachside when it's almost sunset? Felt the cool breeze moving around you, cuddling you like an infant? And your toes feel gritty from the brittle sand and sea shells? Well, I for one have experienced all these. But more importantly, I was privileged to admire the beauty of the sunset at a beachside in Miri. Here's a picture:

It's also relevant for us to know that there is a remarkable resemblance between the nature of sunsets and the life experiences we face each day of our lives. At times, we come across very difficult times, trials, challenges which bear down heavily on us as though they were going to crush us. Some gave up, some are still left in the imbalance, but a few triumped over them all. I'll bet that you're wondering how they succeeded.... I'll be explaining that in a moment.

*coughs* Well, they applied a strong virtue: FAITH. Most of you would be thinking: faith in friends, your abilities, luck and so on. But, I'm referring to faith in God. We tend to forget about how merciful and gracious He's been to us all, until we face such trivial circumstances. I want to solemnly urge you all to remain faithful and righteous in all we do... faithful even in little things... you all know what I mean.

Here's a scripture I got that precisely emphasised on the nature and moral of sunsets....

Through the LORD's mercies, we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness

.(Lam3:22-23)

In all, I'll admonish you all not to give up despite the challenges you all face(including me as well).. Keep the flag flying and the fire within us burning for Christ. Shalom!!
